Cameroon, also reffered to as 'Little Africa' is situated in West Africa, just above the equator. The country has got magnificant landscapes, rainforests, palm beaches, but also deserts and savannah grounds. The population still exists  out of ancient tribes and the people are very hospitable. Cameroon has a political stable climate and has been able to develop a good infrastrcuture. As a volunteer in Cameroon you can work in the fields of teaching, agriculture or help to fight poverty and HIV/ AIDS. In Cameroon more than 50% of the people live below the poverty line.

You help the people of Cameroon by sharing your knowledge and love with them. In general volunteering in Cameroon is very cheap. Cameroon holds a rich diversity of plants and animal life. It is therefore crucial to be carefull with the environment and try to minimize the negative impacts of the agricultural sector. Volunteer Visas for Cameroon

A visa is need to volunteer in Cameroon. Contact the Cameroonian embassy in your home country to obtain a visa. Either 3 month or 6 month visas are available, and usually you must provide proof of flights, travel insurance and an invitation letter of the volunteer organisation.
