By using or accessing www.volunteer-work-africa.com (referred to herein as the "site"), you acknowledge that you agree to and are subject to the following terms and conditions (the "terms") as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not fully agree to these terms, you are not authorized to access or otherwise use the site. You should read through all terms carefully. Ecomambo ("ecomambo", "volunteer-work-africa.com", "us", "we", "our") may amend the terms on this page without prior notice.
Scope of our Service
We urge all users to be responsible about their use of this site and any transaction entered into as a result of using this site. Ecomambo provides a venue to organisations, institutions, lodges, charities, volunteers and potential volunteers to exchange information regarding volunteer work in Africa.
Volunteering organisations ("project organisations") list their projects on our website in a directory where users who have a membership as a "volunteer" can apply for a placement. We do not own or manage, nor can we contract for, any volunteer project listed on the site. We are not involved in any transaction between volunteers and project organisations even though we may from time to time provide tools, such as application forms, that enable a volunteer to enter into a transaction with a project organisation. The information published on our site may contain inaccuracies, typographical errors and/or outdated information.
Website Use
Any registered user can contribute to this site's content such as blogs, the forum and the community/ personal pages. Please be aware that by submitting content to this site (collectively, "user-contributed content") by email, postings, comments or otherwise, you grant ecomambo a nonexclusive, royal-free, perpetual, irrevocable and fully sublicenseable right to (a) use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, publish, create derivative works from and publicly display and perform such user-contributed content throughout the world in any media, now known or hereafter devised; and (b) use the name that you submit in connection with such user-contributed content. You further grant ecomambo the right to pursue at law any person or entity that violates your or Ecomambo rights in the user-contributed content by a breach of this agreement. You agree, through your use of the site, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually-oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate on all of our site.
We have no duty to pre-screen content posted on the site by members or other users, and we are not responsible for user-contributed content. We do, however, reserve the right to decline to permit the posting on the site of, or to remove from the site, any user-contributed content that fails to meet our content requirements or if it otherwise violates these terms. We may also remove user-contributed content if it is brought to our attention, such as by notice given to us by a user or any third party that any part of these terms, or any other requirements governing the posting of such content, has/have been apparently breached in respect of such content.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. The content express the views of the author, not necessarily the views of Ecomambo. Anyone who feels that an article, comment or message is objectionable is encouraged to notify us immediately through the contact form. We have the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular content immediately. This policy applies to project listing information as well.
You remain solely responsible for all your contributed content, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this site, and any related websites to your content. We also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any information we have about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any information posted by you. You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. You agree to never give the password of your user account to another member, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another member's account to post content. After you register and log into the site, you can fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information we deem inaccurate or vulgar will be removed.
Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from our site or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.
Prohibited Activities
The content and information on this site (including, but not limited to, messages, data, information, text, music, sound, photos, graphics, video, maps, icons, code or other material) as well as the infrastructure used to provide such content and information, is proprietary to us. You agree not to otherwise modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell or re-sell any information, products, or services obtained from or through this site. Additionally, you agree not to:
* (i) use this site or its contents for any commercial purpose;
* (ii) access, monitor or copy any content or information of this site using any robot, spider, scraper or other automated means or any manual process for any purpose without our express written permission;
* (iii) violate the restrictions in any robot exclusion headers on this site or bypass or circumvent other measures employed to prevent or limit access to this site;
* (iv) take any action that imposes, or may impose, in our discretion, an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure;

Liability Disclaimer
Although every effort is made to provide accurate information on this site, all information is published without warranty of any kind. The user assumes the entire risk as to the accuracy of the information contained on this site. In no event shall ecomambo be liable for any special, indirect or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever resulting from the use of this site, even if Ecomambo has been advised of the potential of such damages.
Ecomambo is not responsible for risk related to travelling to and living in any country. International travel does carry risk. Therefore, travellers should take into account current affairs, safety issues and personal health before considering travelling and ensure they have suitable travel insurance. It is the responsibility of the volunteer to contact the project directly and to do significant research before committing to a placement. This ensures you can be certain of having the most accurate and up-to-date information possible.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Ecomambo and its affiliates from and against any claims, causes of action, demands, recoveries, losses, damages, fines, penalties or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature including but not limited to reasonable legal and accounting fees, brought by third parties as a result of:
* (i) your breach of this Agreement or the documents referenced herein;
* (ii) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party; or
* (iii) your use of this Website.

You can refer to this website without prior notice or approval of Ecomambo. We are explicitly not responsible for the contents on websites reffering the Ecomambo site. Our site can contain links to other websites which are not managed by Ecomambo. These links are provided to give users additional information on the subjects mentioned on our site.
