What can Ecomambo do for you?

Do you run a project in Africa and do you have a volunteer program or would you like to have the help of volunteers? Then you have come to the right place. Ecomambo can promote your project and find new volunteers to help contribute to your project. The promotion of your project with Ecomambo starts with a listing in our projects directory. To list your project with Ecomambo you have to meet the following requirements:

- The project is being carried out on the continent of Africa;
- You are not a handling agent who is just 'selling' volunteering placements, we only list projects of organisations themselves;
- You provide meals and accommodation for the volunteers whilst at their placement, or provide the facilities for volunteers to prepare their own meals;
- You have to make sure volunteers have proper health and travel insurance;
- Your projects follows one or more of the following principles:

  • Minimize impact.
  • Build environmental and cultural awareness and respect.
  • Provide positive experiences for both visitors and hosts.
  • Provide direct financial benefits for conservation.
  • Provide financial benefits and empowerment for local people.
  • Raise sensitivity to host countries' political, environmental, and social climate.
